DAILY ROUTINE ►

Greeting and Table Spot Time * 9:00-9:20am
Greeting Time is a transition from home to school. After the children place their items in their cubby and say goodbye to family members they will join their friends at their table spot and work on a simple activity to challenge and inspire learning.

Circle Time * 9:20-9:45am
Circle Time is an important part of our daily routine. We gather in a large group and share stories, songs, fingerplays, counting and language games and more! This time is also used to introduce new classroom materials, discuss the current theme and plan what individual children will choose for Learning Center Time.

Learning Center Time * 9:45-10:20am

Learning Center Time is an active, free-choice discovery and exploration play experience. Learning Centers are specific places and materials in the classroom designed to support direct, hands-on learning. Some centers include theme-of-the-week projects, building blocks, dramatic play, creative art, math, writing, reading, sensory play, science and more.

Clean-Up & Bathroom Break Time * 10:20-10:40am

The classroom space is carefully designed for children to be more and more independent and successful taking care of their centers, toys and supplies as the year progresses. Also, self-help skills are fostered as children take care of their bodies and practice healthy habits, like hand-washing, during this break.

Brain Food Snack and Sharing Time * 10:40-11:00am

The teacher and children sit together family-style at the tables while eating a healthy Brain Food snack from home. This is also a great opportunity to practice table manners, conversation skills and discuss food and nutrition.

Minds in Motion Time * 11:00-11:20am

Children need ample time to exercise and move their bodies each day. During this time children have the opportunities for enrichment in the Kinesthetic Arts. Our Minds in Motion Time includes dancing, creative movement, playing with studio gym equipment, various age-appropriate sports and games, dramatic arts, and musical movement experiences.

Wrap-up Time * 11:20-11:30am

Our final time together each day is a time for reflection, recall, and review before dismissal time.
