Registration: A non-refundable fee of $20 per student is required yearly at time of registration.
Payment of Fees: Tuition is divided into 10 equal installments. Tuition must be paid by one of the payment methods offered by Studio 21. Tuition will be debited from your bank account on the 1st day of each month from Sept-June or charged to your credit card the 1st day of each month. The month of September is non-refundable. Credit Card or bank debit payments are not accepted in-person monthly. All charges will appear on your bank statement or credit card statement as being from Studio 21 Pom & Dance Academy Inc. All Tuition, registration fees, showcase fees, costume fees, competition fees, recital tickets, and all fees associated with dance are non-refundable. If you choose not to do automatic payment, you have the option of paying in full the entire session and receiving a 5% discount on your tuition. (costume not included in discount)
Non-Sufficient Funds: There is a $20 fee for all NSF's.
Withdrawal and Refunds: There is a 2 month minimum for all classes. One month notice from the first of the month is required to discontinue any classes. Withdrawal must be done in person and will not be accepted over the phone or email. Withdrawals must occur within 15 days of the month. To withdraw from any classes a parent or guardian must inform the studio in person and complete and sign a withdrawal form provided by the studio office. All automatic bank debit and credit card charges will stop after the one-month notice period. Studio 21 reserves the right to terminate classes to any student without notice. In such case a refund for unused classes will be given. If you pre-pay and drop in the middle of your session, the balance remaining will be a Studio 21 credit good on tuition only.
Cancelled Classes: Classes with less than five students may be cancelled, combined, or rescheduled at Studio 21's discretion.
Substitutes: The studio reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. If a teacher is ill and cannot arrange a substitute, the missed classes will be made up.
Extreme Weather or Unexpected Interruption of Classes: We cancel classes if the Oak Creek-Franklin School District cancels school or their after school activities. If the school must cancel classes due to extreme weather or events beyond our control such as power outages, the missed lessons will not be made up.
Dance Class Attendance and Tardiness: The studio reserves the right to have students who come late, sit out and watch. Stretching is done right at the beginning and if dancers are not properly stretched, they can severely hurt themselves. A minimum attendance level is required. If a dancer misses 6 or more classes after January, the student may not be allowed to participate.
Dance Dress Code: Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. Dancers are allowed to wear any dance shoes, socks, or go barefoot. Please understand that it is better for the protection of your feet to wear shoes while dancing, but it is to your discretion. Failure to follow these rules could result in students being asked to sit out. Repeated failure to wear required dancewear could result in termination of classes. Students are not permitted to wear jeans or shoes worn on the street to any dance class. For safety reasons dancers are not permitted to wear jewelry. Hair must be pulled back.
Photo Release: The studio is hereby granted permission to take photos of the students to use in brochures, studio web site, posters, advertisements, or other promotional material. Permission is also hereby granted for the studio to copyright such photos in our name.
Communication Policy: We hand out monthly newsletters the first week of every month. You are responsible for information given in each newsletter. If you are absent the first week of the month, please stop by the front desk to pick up a copy.
Care of Students: The studio is not responsible for providing before or after any class. Students are not to be left at the studio for excessive time before or after class. Students should not arrive earlier than 15 minutes prior to their class and must be picked up within 15 minutes after their class has ended.
