Dance Dress Code►

Required dancewear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes. Each class may have a different dress code, please look below for your specific class. Failure to follow these rules could result in students being asked to sit out. Repeated failure to wear required dancewear could result in termination of classes. Students are not permitted to wear jeans or shoes worn on the street to any dance class. For safety reasons dancers are not permitted to wear jewelry. Hair must be pulled back. Competitive dancers have a different dress code. Please refer to your audition informational packet.

Required Dancewear

►  Dance Dress Code: To look like a dancer, encourages one to conduct oneself like a dancer. Please make sure your child is wearing dance attire in class. Even though Target and Wal-Mart call them ballet slippers, they really are not an appropriate leather ballet slipper. Please do not buy these for class. They are very slippery and the students will not be allowed to wear them for our recitals. Our studio sells all required dancewear, but you may purchase attire from any dancewear store as well!

► Recommended Dress Code for Classes:

Age 2-6: Leotard, tights, pink leather ballet slippers, skirt or shorts over are optional

Age 7 and up Ballet/Lyrical: Leotard, tights, ballet slippers, skirt or shorts over are optional

Age 5 and up Jazz and Poms: Any form fitting dance attire, jazz shoes

Hip Hop: Any gym clothes that you are able to move around in, No jeans, clean tennis shoes

Tap: No pants, you may wear shorts, capris, etc. We need to see your feet. Leotard and tights recommended.

Do not wear your dance shoes outside, please change them before and after class. Hair must be up and out of your face. No gum or eating in the classroom. No cell phones! Teens – you may wear sports bras under your leotard, no regular bras please. Dance Costumes are not appropriate dance attire for class!
